The churches of the Plateau Ministerial Association formed Plateau Outreach Ministries nearly a decade ago to
translate Christ's call to "Love Your Neighbor" into action.
We help people in crisis two ways. First of all, by focusing on basic needs: food, clothing, housing, and emergency
financial assistance in the form of vouchers.
We also provide something called "case management." That means we track the progress of those we help, helping
them help themselves out of their crises. Case management includes referrals to counselors at agencies that
specialize in the client's specific needs. We also provide follow-up. |

An elderly widow baffled by insurance forms she needs to cover a hospital stay?
One of our volunteers can help decipher them.
No cash for a warm winter jacket for your growing kindergartner?
You can buy "gently used" clothing and household items at affordable prices at the POM thrift store,
