Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Preschool!
Since 1978, Trinity Lutheran Preschool has been reaching out to our youngest members of the Enumclaw community and providing families with quality private preschool services for children ages 3-5 years old, while teaching Christ's word. It is our daily calling to make each child's time with us positive and meaningful, centered in a nurturing Christian atmosphere. The purpose of our preschool is to provide a Christian early education program that will benefit the child, the parents, the church and the community. In our child-centered nurturing environment the children develop the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, cognitive, and creative skills that begin preparing them for the future. Rooted in the Lutheran tradition of education, the preschool emphasizes Christian faith and principles.
The staff of Trinity Lutheran Preschool is committed to your child's growth and well-being. They are highly qualified and have worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for many years. Their balance of creativity, structure and enthusiasm creates a positive fun-filled school experience for your child. For parents, we provide a program for your child(ren) with a Christian format. Our hope is that Trinity Lutheran Preschool is a welcoming place for your child and family. You will have many opportunities to become involved in the life of our school by volunteering and attending the many fun events and celebrations we schedule throughout the year. We encourage you to be an active part of your child's school experience. We offer guidance and support when asked.
This website is intended to provide basic information about the preschool, program, and policies, for families currently seeking a Christian preschool education opportunity for their young children or those with children already enrolled at Trinity Lutheran Preschool. For additional information, please contact us directly at (360)825-6522.
May the Lord be with you,
Carry Schmitt, Director

Program Information
Trinity Lutheran Preschool provides an age appropriate developmental early childhood educational program in a creative, stimulating, and nurturing environment. We believe that every child is a child of God, and should have opportunities to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually to their fullest potential. This Christian preschool serves the mission of the church by strengthening the life of congregational members and providing Christian outreach to non-member families. Chapel is held weekly in all classes. Curriculum is based on theme units that integrate activities fostering all areas of childhood development.
The program is designed to meet the needs of the children and to stimulate their learning. It is designed for flexible daily use. Young children learn by doing and they need to know that they are important and belong as they learn to share and recognize the rights of others. As they experience success they begin to develop the positive self-image necessary for continued growth and development. In our preschool children are accepted, loved, and respected as they are. The children will participate in a variety of daily, weekly and monthly activities that will:
In Classroom Classroom Activities Include:
For specific information about our program for your child's age group, please contact our office to arrange a tour of the facility and a personal meeting with the Director. You will have an opportunity to meet the teaching staff and discuss needs and goals for you and your child. A handbook is provided to parents of children enrolled at Trinity Lutheran Preschool that gives additional information about the program.
Field Trips (Off & On-Site):
We try to bring 'field trips' to our preschool, rather than take our school out into the field; however, when we do have any off-site field trips, parents will be notified well in advance and every parent/caregiver will be expected to transport their own child to and from the activity. Trinity Lutheran Preschool will not arrange any transportation or drivers. Only currently enrolled students along with parents and/or caregivers may accompany students in scheduled field trips. Occasionally siblings may be allowed to participate at an additional cost for admission.
Special Family Events:
Specific days calendared in the school year are for special family events at the preschool. These include an "all school singing" at Trinity in the Fall and Spring, Grandparents Day, Parent Night, and an All School Picnic. These are special events when family is encouraged to attend and participate in learning and activities, apart from ordinary school days.
