Trinity welcomes our Interim Pastor Dennis Hartsook.
If you were to ask ten different people at Trinity about their ideas about heaven and hell, sin, the Virgin Birth, or any other theological issue, you'd probably get ten different answers! Nevertheless, there are certain core beliefs that we teach and preach, which define who we are and who we understand God to be.

One way to summarize our core beliefs is to explain the name of our national church affiliation, the EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AMERICA (ELCA), established in 1988 (www.elca.org):

WE ARE EVANGELICAL. That is, people matter to God, and therefore matter to the church (Matthew 18:12-14; 28:19-20).

WE ARE LUTHERAN. That is, we believe in the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ rightly preached and taught (Romans 3:22-24; Galatians 5:1).

WE ARE THE CHURCH. That is, every member is bound together as members of the Body of Christ, each one gifted by the Holy Spirit, called to be a servant of the Gospel (1 Cor. 12:27; Romans 9:4-5).

WE ARE IN AMERICA. That is, the mission field begins here. If you are a member, you are a missionary!
